Watch the door, the cash wrap, the aisles, and the stock room. The usual reason to open the grid is a void, missing stock, or someone in the back who is not on the roster.
Posivex monitoring is the work after the cameras are already aimed: a live grid of the register, door, aisle, and stock room; person marks so you skip empty video; and a clip when someone who is not staff shows up after hours. You and your managers watch. We do not sell this page as a 24/7 guarded operations center.
A till discrepancy, a refund, or a missing case of product is a picture problem as much as a books problem. Monitoring means the register, the customer side of the counter, the front door, and the stock room are already on one screen when you need to see who was there — not a week later when the story has changed.
Posivex already runs the checkout. Monitoring keeps that counter, the entry, and the back room in a live grid you can open from the desk or a tablet login you approve. Footage writes on site. Internet is only for remote view.
Coverage is planned for the same retailers, restaurants, and offices already on Posivex POS. We do not invent warehouse campuses here.
Watch the door, the cash wrap, the aisles, and the stock room. The usual reason to open the grid is a void, missing stock, or someone in the back who is not on the roster.
Entrance, dining room, POS, and the back door or prep area you actually play back. Kitchen tiles are added only when you ask — heat and grease change what that camera can show after dark.
Reception, hallway, and the room that holds cash or devices. We do not put cameras in restrooms or private offices unless you have a written policy and a lawful reason.
This page is the watch-and-review job. Hardware still records on an NVR you own. The work we describe here is live view, marks, and clips.
Register, door, aisle, and stock on an ordinary office monitor. You glance during a rush or sit with the grid when something already feels wrong.
The recorder can box a person in the aisle so you skip empty hours. That is detection on the NVR — not a branded “AI agent,” and not a face name on the tile.
Someone at the back door after close, or in the stock room who is not staff, is a clip you pull and compare. You decide who that person is. The system does not invent a name.
A closed store with a body in frame is the event you jump to. Useful for opening checks, lock-ups, and anyone lingering at a receiving door when the floor is dark.
The same grid on a login you approve. Remote view needs internet. Recording does not. We do not publish this as a public stream.
Pick a camera and a time, play the clip, export a file for a dispute or an insurer. That happens on the NVR or in the same app used for live view.
Three different rooms: a daylight manager desk, a laptop on a break table, and an after-hours receiving door on a modern monitor. They are not install shots and not named customer jobs.
One ordinary office monitor, four rooms. This is the default watch: aisle, door, stock, checkout. You sit with it when the floor is busy or when you already know you need a picture.
A simple box around a body in the aisle. The point is to land on a person, not to sell a sci-fi overlay. Empty motion (a fan, a curtain) is why we still have a human review the clip.
A figure at a closed receiving door is the kind of clip owners ask for. You watch live if someone is on the desk; you pull playback if not. We do not claim we identified that person.
We do not watch hallways at random. A short walk-through decides which rooms you actually open during the day and which ones you only play back. Most single-location shops start with the five below.
Local recording is still the product. Cloud storage is not assumed. We do not quote a retention number until camera count and drive size are set.
The NVR can write all day, or only when it sees movement or a person. Continuous uses more disk. Motion saves space and can miss a slow event if the sensitivity is wrong. We set this with you on handoff.
More cameras and higher resolution fill a disk faster. A 14-day or 30-day target is a sizing job, not a software toggle. When the drive is full, the oldest video is overwritten.
Person or motion marks are how you find the unknown visitor without dragging a 12-hour timeline. Export is still a file you save for a dispute or an insurer.
A modern recorder can tell “a person walked the aisle” from “the aisle was empty.” That saves the owner from watching hours of nothing. It does not name the person, score a threat, or replace a manager looking at the clip.
Unknown person, staff, delivery, or someone lost — that call is yours. The desk or the tablet shows the door and the face as the camera saw it. We do not run a watch list or a “spy” identification product on this page.
When the recorder marks a body in the frame, you land on a walk-through instead of a still shelf. That is the useful part of “monitoring with AI” on a shop floor. A fan, a hanging sign, or a shadow can still trip motion — so a person still opens the clip.
A hooded visitor at a closed receiving door is not a movie villain — it is a picture you either watch live or find on playback. Monitoring here means that tile is already recording, the event is marked if person detection is on, and you can export the file. We do not staff a night desk unless you buy that as a separate service.
Cameras do not replace a lock, a safe, or staff training. They give you a picture of the counter, the door, and the stock room while you are off the floor — or after something already happened.
No camera count is promised before we see the rooms. The watch list comes first. The quote follows that list.
You tell us the picture you keep losing: a till issue, a missing case, an after-hours door, someone in stock who is not on the roster.
Which rooms get a live tile, which ones are playback-only, and who holds an account. Channel count and drive size come from that map.
The desk or tablet shows the rooms you named. We confirm every tile is the room you think it is before we call the watch ready.
Person or motion marks go on if you want event jumps. We add your logins and open live view on the phone you will carry.
You learn how to jump to a mark, export a clip, and who to call if a tile goes dark. Support stays with the same Posivex team that handles your POS.
A full-width walkthrough of monitoring work: live desk grid, person mark, after-hours door, phone view, and playback. It is a product demo on this site — not a live customer store, and not an animated character clip.
Daytime office grid, laptop person-mark, after-hours receiving door, phone view from a car, and a wall monitor of till plus door. Five different rooms and people — not one repeated desk. Tap one to open the viewer.
No. Posivex monitoring on this page is the live view, event marks, and playback you and your managers use. We do not staff a guard desk watching every store all night unless that is scoped as a separate service.
The recorder can mark a person in the frame so you jump to a real event instead of scrubbing empty aisles. That is person or motion detection on the NVR — not a named face-ID product, and not a promised accuracy rate.
Yes, as a review job. After hours, a person at a closed door is an event you can open. On the floor, you compare the clip to who should be there. We do not claim a secret “spy database” or automatic name on the screen.
No. A wired NVR records on the local hard drive if the WAN is down. Internet is only for remote phone or tablet view and for some app notifications.
Retention is camera count × resolution × hours per day × hard-drive size. If you need about 14 or 30 days, we size the drive for it. We do not invent a number after the system is already writing.
Only if you give them an account. Most owners keep live view for themselves and one manager. Extra logins are added only when you ask.
The cameras cover the same physical counter as the POS. They do not replace the POS software. If you already run Posivex at the register, one live tile should include that station so a refund or void has a matching picture.
No. The photos show monitoring work: a daylight office grid, a laptop person-mark, a back-room night door, a phone view from a car, and a wall monitor of till plus door. Channel count and drive size come after we see the rooms you need to watch.
